Help with Discover

I have 10,00o balance with Discover - basically fees and interest got it this big. They offered 7500 in 3 payments? Should I take it? It shows paid in full on credit report. Will it matter since I have settled 3 cards? Should I let it go to collections and try to settle for less but the calls and stress will continue............:(:confused:

Since you've already settled three other cards, what does it matter how discover reports it?

You are almost free of plastic bondage!:D:D:D

Do you have the money to pay them off?
If you do then call 'em up and offer less in one lump sum.

Tell 'em you've got $5K to settle with or whatever number sounds good to you. Just remember that you can always increase your offer, so offer lower.

And here's another technique:
When you get them on the phone and it comes down to offer time, speak slowly and determined. Pitch your offer and then "shut down", because whomever speaks next..... loses!
