harrassments calls at work escalating, I'm getting blamed
My problem now is the harassment calls at work have gotten so bad, work is blaming me for it. I said today how can it be my fault when it is identity theft and scams.. Coworkers are starting to talk to them and listening to the garbage. And they were told to hang up on them. They were in the beginning. Now the calls are going to the higher management and are being told I am going to be served by a processor for legal documents. I looked up the phone number they gave and showed it to the management that is was a scam.. Not sure what to do now.. I could lose my job over this nonsense.. I told work I have no control over this and if they fire me, I will contact a lawyer for wrongful termination.

You need to talk to reception/your supervisor about this and tell them to have the number(s) blacklisted. Also inform them that these people are directly violating State as well as Federal laws by calling at work. Moreover, file a police complaint in your county about the ongoing harassment and send a copy to your boss/upper management. That should somewhat diffuse the situation.
Work wants proof of scam on pdl bottom feeders!! In MA
I talked to my manager at work Friday, they want proof that these bottom feeders that I have more than paid off are a scam. Work doesn't know that this started from pdls. It is none of their business. I gave her the suggestions that were listed here, and she said no. They want proof there people calling are scams.. Coworkers and her are talking to them and hearing all the lies about me... I am very upset. I went to the computer with one of the phone numbers they left and pulled it up.. It stated very clearly on google it was a scam phone number...she didn't care...
The phone calls are the same 2 voices asking for permission to serve papers at work.. The HR dept. told them they will not give any info.. but I am not located where HR is. And I am worried people at work will give out my info. Now they want proof from the AG whom is working with me.. In MA they have special dept and you are assigned a mediator to help with the pdls. Anyway work wants a letter from them that I am supposed to hang up on these people.
And they made a comment that if things don't change soon I could lose my job... any help with this would be most appreciated!

If they fired you, it would be wrongful dismissal. They have no grounds to fire you.....contact your AG's office for assistance. PDL's are illegal in MA...that should be enough info for them.

Last Jan a new corp bought out the medical facility where I work. And every employee had to sign a form that we can be let go from our job for any reason. They would just make up something else. And they just told everyone if things don't improve financially there would be layoffs. My situation will make it easier for them to let me go under that guise. I will contact the AG tomorrow now that someone has been assigned my case.
