Xerox Management Call - Please Advise

I received a call from an unknown number...they said they were a location service and that they had some court papers to serve. they said the people want to work something out and I should call 888-261-2975. I asked them for the name of the company, and she said she 'spilled coffee on her paperwork and blocked the name out'....in any case, a Google Search revealed that this Xerox management. I couldn't find much about it, usually I check the various 800 number notes forums...All that was there were a couple of blurbs about how people called and worked things out...not sure if they were spam posts from the company.Is anyone familiar with Xerox? I never received anything from them, and am nervous to call back. I also don't want to be sued. I did have some PDL's in the past, but think I settled them all...the other debts I have involve Bally's and a bank overdraft, and I know the CA that is working those accunts isn't Xerox. Please advise what I should do!

It is a scam... and no way associated with Xerox.

No name business call my husband Boss told him they are looking to serve my husband, so i call this business @88-261-2975 ask for a Nick Doeie who never told me what business this was, gave him a case number and took him awhile said Mrs Lopez no wrong person, ask for last four ss no you tell me what the last for ss you have process to said I have two charge against me Breech of contact and financail theft for a DJ Group of a payday .When ask for more detail, ask when will be able to pay debit or charger will be file and I will be arrest.Finally relize My husband was one they are trying to get of hold of, Be careful this is second time a payday loan has call him a work how can you get a payloan when you did not get one in first place:confused:

I told them I was calling the police if they ever contacted me again because I was FULLY aware of the scam. 'Mr. Russo' just hung up on me at that point. The whole thing is TOTALLY fake and they just want to scare you and make you think you are in legal trouble. COMPLETE SCAM.

Received a call from some jerk named Thomas Anderson - wrong number. He stated he was going to serve court papers. Another site shows the number as:Omni-fi

Probably a scam or shady debt collector.
Make sure you ask them for the company name and mailing address (no PO box) if they call.
