I have been harrassed on my cell phone daily for two weeks, I can't pay the 1,200.00 in full, but I can pay 50 a month.
She is so soft spoken on th ephone and all she wants is my checking account and I refuse to do that.
My question is can they take me to jail? if I am trying to pay this debt off and how do I get them to stop calling my cell phone????? its annoying!! I have told her its not mine and she still calls it!
the number thing is weird she calls on a 770 number but has me call back on a 800 number?? 1-800-456-8448.
they are out of GA.
Please help me!!!!

Consumer debt is a civil matter, not criminal. You're not going to jail. Click the DIY section at the top and send the DV letter. Include a partial cease communications, stating that you'll only deal with them in writing. Also, never give any bank info to the collector.
