I just sent a message re: a summons i received yesterday at my home. I tried to work with them on this debt, but the problem is that i believe their total is way too high from what the original bill was (which i will be trying to find out today from GE moneybank) if i can find a # for them. I'm on disability and am deathly afraid of going to court. i have social anxiety very severe and want to settle b4 going to court? Also, there is no way i could even try to financially get a lawyer for this. Please help and thank you so much for your help!

Interest and late fees add up quickly....interest compounds on itself.
You can try settling before this goes to court but it is up to them. Your income is exempt...however are you a property owner? They can get a lein on that.
