Ok...thanks. Now for a little more help... I have a credit card
Ok...thanks. Now for a little more help... I have a credit card with capital one that is charged off. The open date was May 2003. What can I do about that b/c I haven't paid on it. Is there anyway that I can get it to change on my report since it is out of the SOL, or is that only for CA's?? What can I do, since it is out of the SOL. I really don't understand what can be done since it is out of the SOL??
Also, on my CR it is showing that it was 30 days late as of OCT.
Also, on my CR it is showing that it was 30 days late as of OCT. 2003. So doesn't that mean that it was out of the SOL in OCT 2006??
Even if the debt goes out of the SOL, it will be still reported
Even if the debt goes out of the SOL, it will be still reported in the credit in a negative way. You cannot have that removed from your file unless you decide to pay it off. No creditor or collection agency can take you to the court for not paying the debts because it went out of the SOL.
Is there anyway that you could help me find some type of letter
Is there anyway that you could help me find some type of letter to send to the CA to let them know that I am aware of the debt being out of the SOL??
