Can I consolidate medical debt with other debts?

Is it possible to consolidate and repay medical debt with other debts? Will it be treated as a simple unsecured debt?
Or, is there any different terms and conditions about medical debt?

Yes. You can.

You can use funds from a debt consolidation loan to pay off unpaid medical bills.

There are no different terms and conditions attached to the medical debt.

You can pay off medical debts with a debt consolidation program. You can include them with other debts in the consolidation program. Medical debts are considered as unsecured debts only. You can also set up a repayment plan with the hospital.

You can also pay your medical bills with a credit card and opt for balance transfer to repay debts at a very low rate of interest. However, opting for debt consolidation program can help you repay debts with ease under complete professional guidance.

Hi Jestor! You can take out a balance transfer card to transfer all your existing medical debts to that new card. Make sure that the new card has a much lower interest rate. And if you qualify for a 0% APR balance transfer card, read the terms and conditions carefully as the 0% APR usually comes with an introductory period of about 18 to 24 months.
