I spoke to a lady who stated that I owe $480 from a payday loan from tendollarpayday.com. She told me the loan was taken out in 2006. I asked her to send me a letter stating what I owe and she did send me an email saying that I owed what I owe and who they bought the account from so on and so on. She proceeded to tell me that if she didn't hear back from me Thursday, which is today, giving me 2 days that she is going to file paperwork in the county that I live in and also attach $1600 lawyers fees on top of that.
I did do as much research as I could but I am still so confused. Do I have 30 days since I first talked to her to dispute the debt? She called at 8 am this morning saying that if she didn't hear from me by noon she is filing the paperwork. I am not sure what to do and when I do call her back, I would like to know what to say to her.

I've receivied a very unprofessional call from the Law Office of Vincent Cignarale. They are in attempt to collect debt that may have been charged-off my account and/or is more than seven years old. I tried contacting them, but wasn't successful. How do I handle this situation when I answer or get in contact with a representative?

i received several (too many to count) calls from cignarale law
i received several (too many to count) calls from cignarale law firm. so has my mother who is sick with cancer and shouldnt be aggravated with these calls. does anyone know what address is correct for them because i have 2. and would like to send them a certified/return receipt letter.

this office called my mom at her work and told her they were looking for me for a debt. i don't live with her not for over 15 years. me and my husband have talked to them since to try to fix this and every time we ask them to send something to us in writting they so no and that becomes the end of the call. from what they are saying i owe about $290.00 i'm not even sure any more this bill is over 2 years old. what can i do they won't send anything to me so i really don't know for sure whats going on.

I received a call tonight. They said I owed $1000 from 2008 payday loan. First thing, I don't remember ever getting a payday loan. Second, I thought these things were illegal in NY state? I have been fighting a fraud case from someone stealing my identity from Craigs list, so I am skeptical about lawyers calling on collecting a debt that I never remember getting. Any help here?
