CAN Collection Agencies Use a Fake Phone Number

Can collection agencies use a fake phone number to call you? I had a collection agency call with a number from my area code. They have no office in this state. The agency calling was Enhanced Recovery.

What type of debts do Enhanced Recovery try to collect?

Are they allowed to called cell phones, and call before sending a letter in the mail?

they collect zombie debt as well as other debt.however to continuously call you is wrong,and illegal.they can only call once to get contact info that's it.anything else is illegal.btw chances are great they have her info it's just they can't help but act illegaly.

let's just say that spoofing,or falsifying the number they are really calling from is illegal,and ehanced recovery is a complete bottomfeeder that violates the FDCPA left and right.you need to report them,and ignore them.

Does Enhanced try to collect

Does Enhanced try to collect credit card debt, or just phone bills, and over draft charged off bank accounts?

I think they are looking for my daughter who over draft a bank account for $35....a year ago.
