Encore hangs up all the time

Encore calls all the and hangs up when I pick up I try calling back and they hang up on me. I sent a certified letter asking for validity & verification and to tell them they can only contact me by mail. its been three days senic the reciecd the letter and calls have stop and they still hang up on me. how long do the have replie too my letter?

I think they are scam. They simply can't validate the debt, so they are not replying to you. If you are sure that the debt is not your, then relax.

Usually after the first

Usually after the first communication through phone, the debt collector needs to send the debt validation letter within 5 days. However, since you've sent this letter, wait for a few days for them to respond.
If required, lodge a complaint with the FDCPA that the collector is violating the rules.

If you still receive calls now, send a Cease and Desist letter to them. Why are they calling you by the way? Do you owe any debt to them?
