so my ex and i had a business that we sunk every single penny into, and also borrowed against a home i co-own (although not on paper).

the company that we were using for shipping our product didn't like that we were reselling their products (they said nothing about reselling on their site) and stopped business with us, taking every penny we had with them.

we sued them for this, and they counter sued claiming fraud. so the judge railroaded us, didn't understand a single thing about our biz and sided with the defendants, and giving us a 97k judgment on top of it.

all of our credit cards were racked up because of this biz. how is this going to effect bankruptcy when i file? i don't have anything to my name. i work for myself and go to school. i hardly make any money.

any advice would be great.

OK you haven't filed the BK yet.Is it not possible for you go for the higher authority ( upper court) for the same case.

If that is possible ( if you have some good paper back up about the case) then this whole situation can be revoked within single day of the predicament.

If that possibility is not there then here is the solution no.2

insolvency.gov.uk/pdfs/guidanceleafletspdf/howtopetition.pdf

this is really a good stuff for you go through it you will get whole idea about it.

no we haven't filed bk yet.

we're trying to do an appeal, but appeal attorneys run $300-$500 an hour, and will probably cost $20-$50k. no one wants to take it on contingency.

is that a link for the uk? i'm in california.

thanks!
