Chapter 7 Timeline/Fees in Calif?
Does anyone happen to know what the timeline is for filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California?
I've read that the entire procedure takes from 90-120 days from the time you file until the debts are all dismissed one you pass the means test and complete some other requirements.
Can anyone shed some light on the entire process?

The timeline would depend on which district you file in and what the case load is. Discharge is on average 120 days after filing....your 341 is usually at around the 60 day mark. Filing fee is around $300 and your pretesting is around $50-$75

I noticed that the up front fees from the uscourts.gov website to file a Chapter 7 total just over $300.00, and was wondering if the only other fee due either upfront or while the process continues would be the fees of the attorney?
