Me and my handsome separated in 08, I filed bankruptcy in 09 on my house. Then my handsome stopped making the payments and the home forclosed in 11. Now I am trying to buy a home, they are telling me I have to wait 3 years from when they finally took the home in 2011. My question is does the bankruptcy supersedes the forclosure? If so, I should be able to buy a home for it has been three and half year.

Although I am not very clear on this aspect of your problem but to me it looks like your home was foreclosed AFTER your BK was discharged. So technically the foreclosure suceeds the BK and maybe that is why lenders are not very willing. When you filed BK in 09, did you/your husband reaffirm the mortgage?
