Allied Interstate Inc: Do they harass consumers quite often?
We know that the business of FDCPA laws by a CA results legal action and the consumers can file a class action lawsuit against them.
So what happens when there are shady collection agencies like Allied Interstate Inc still in business? They call people endlessly without any details of the debts and show rudeness. They go against the Mini Miranda disclosure as mentioned in Section 807(11) of the fdcpa. The company is also famous for false representation of the accounts. You can be forced to pay some unknown account because of their wrong contact. Remember, "Allied Interstate" can be sued up to the $1000 depending upon the extent of damages.
I read many of you being victimized by this collection agency. Use the federal laws as a protection against such shady collection activities. Report them to the FTC, BBB as well as the State Attorney General office.
How many of you want Allied Interstate Inc to undergo legal actions. I am thinking of consulting an attorney and put a legal fight against them. I will like all of you to post your experiences here so that it can be documented. After browsing through this forum thoroughly, I picked some threads of their illegitimate business.
- The illegal activities of Allied Interstate. The poster in this thread said that the company wanted to settle the matter without any documentation. This is illegal.
- Allied Interstate making threatening calls to the family members. It is illegal as per the FDCPA laws.
- Here is an example of Allied Interstate not identifying them and making regular calls at work.
- This collection agency uses profane language and gets in contact with the wrong person.
- Allied Interstate will try to force you and make a payment on the debt that is past the SOL period. You are under no legal obligation to pay the debt if it is past the SOL period.
- One more thread about the misdeeds of Allied Interstate Inc.
- This company does not identify properly while leaving messages on the phone. They keep calling endlessly.
- Allied Interstate never stops. They contact persons who do not owe any money.
- Allied Interstate reviews the credit reports without permission.
- A thread on bombarding phone calls done by this collection agency.
- Threatening calls starting from early morning and ending just before 9.
- Allied Interstate harassing whole year
- Here is the contact address and phone number details of Allied Interstate Inc.
- Calls get disturbing for someone not related to the accounts.
- People are getting fed up with allied interstate and their calls. No phone numbers, no e-mails just mailing address but not sure whether it is proper or not. Contacting them is really tough.
- Confusion is still there on LVNV Funding and Allied Interstate.
- Allied Interstate Inc not following up with the cease and desist letter.
- Getting empowered on how to deal with Allied Interstate.
- Harassment with "person to person"

Allied Collection Agency is Calling me?
Hello,
I've just stated getting phone calls (2 in fact this week) asking me to call 1-800-806-3342. I don't have any oustanding debts. Can I just ignore the calls? Will they stop if I don't call them? What can they do to harm my credit. The mesasage doesn't even mention my name or any for that matter. Googgled the phone number and get your site. Now I'm worried Any advice? What should I do?
Credit card debt!
Hello,
I just went online to check Allied Interstate to find who the heck they are. To my surprise, l cannot beleive what l have found. My situstion is exactly the same with one of the guys above. I was about to replace my wife's car. After completing the transaction with the sale person and agreed to buy the car, knowing that all my bills are being paid on time and my credit isn't a problem, until the finance guy at the dealership wants to go over my credit problems that l have on my retail some credit cards that have been deliquant. I said what credit cards, l have my house refinanced and paid all my credit cards paid off and owed no credit card at all. I only have a debit bank card that my wife and l used when we're travelling to buy airline tickets or anything else. Well after finish talking to the finance guy, l asked him if it's ok to obtain the information pertining to the collection agency in charge of the situation, he said Yes and gave the name of Harvest credit management. I google Harvest CR Management and came up with nothing. I finally found HCM attached to a lawer in Denver Colorado who provided me with a phone number for the agency who happened to be Allied Credit. After telling them my situation, they put me in contact with a woman named Donna, who gave a speech that they are trying to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. I told them that l contacted you, I need to obtain this information regarding this debt and who's debt it is, and l am sure it's not belong to me. She finally put me on hold for about 15-20 minutes and came back with nothing and said that l will call you back within 30-45 minutes. I gave her my cell phone to contact me and she never did and kept leaving messages on my answering machine at home. When l called back and found a voice mail asking to leave a message and will be contacted later, but the thing is the voice mail is completely full and cannot leave any messages. Could you pleased
tell me what my options are.
Thank you very much!
Hmmm...
This is very informative, this site rocks!
Here's my story, I'll try to be brief:
I separated from my wife of 15 years 2 1/2 years ago.
It was ugly. Sheriff put a restraining order against her, I ended up with custody of my three daughters. We'll leave it at that. Since, she's refused to pay child support, $0. She lives in another state with her family, and often gets legal advice, I don't. Funds, ya know.
I quit 'making' my children talk to her daily about two months ago due to demands she was making and her lack of assistance.
Suddenly, about 2 weeks ago, I began getting phone calls, several a day, from allied and other collectors looking for her. I've called them all back telling them she does not live here and they tell me they're removing my number from their 'list'.
This could be circumstancial, but my hunch is that it isn't. Our divorce isn't final. Can they still come after me for debts she's ringing up in another state?
You all discuss power we have against them. As it is, my phone bill for returning their calls, is swiftly mounting. What power do they have against me?
there are killing me "Allied Interstate".
Here are my inputs about this evil collection agency named ???????Allied Interstate???????. AI started calling me about three or some months ago. As everybody stated they were rude and not professional like. In the ???????AI??????? eloquent speech, they are demanding for payments that go far back to the year 1995 ???????they said it is 195 dollar???????. When I called them back, I tried to reason with them, meaning, please tell me what it is going on? They didn't rebutted instead, they started to ask me about my personal information. I refused to answer and I handed up. Now, after three months of harassment, I have a nice welcome wakeup in my credit report. AI reported a KD that brought my credit score from a 730 to 696. Please help!
As of today I have filed a complaint with my state attorney gene
As of today I have filed a complaint with my state attorney general. This company is violating federal law every time they call me when they start using profane language.
Allied Interstate phone number
Here is the latest number coming in on caller ID. I've been received pre-recorded messages from this company since November 9th. I'm refusing to call them since I know I have no reason to acknowledge thier calls. They started out by calling 1 time a day, since I've started turning off my answering machine my caller ID is picking up calls at a rate of 3 times a day. I find it interesting that a company like this can do this legally. I may have to change my phone number of 15 years, sad isn't it? Anyway the number I'm getting calls from is 775-319-1510 for any of you seeing this number on your caller ID that's who it is.
Not reporting
I paid my debt that Allied had a month ago. They still have not notified the company I originally owed the money to and none of the credit agencies. My lawyer will be calling them next week.
I have been getting calls for weeks from Allied Interstate but i
I have been getting calls for weeks from Allied Interstate but in the past week it has been horrible. 2 to 3 calls a day. I told one of them when she wanted me to make a payment over the phone that I would not do that, if I got a bill from them I would pay it. Then she said we dont send bills out. Yesterday I talked to another person from there and I told them right away that I will make a payment as soon as I get something in writing. He just said I'll make a note of it. So just a bit ago I get another call and I had to be sacastic at this point and said hello in a very sweet voice and then added its our daily call. And so it began again saying I owe and need to pay, blah blah blah. He said that they have sent letters informing me how much I owe and I asked him when was that. He said in January!! So I said that was 8 months ago but he corrected me and said no thats only 7 months ago. I just repeated what I have been saying to them all, if they just send me a new letter/bill whatever I would get it paid. Guess what he says next, "So when are you planning on sending us what you owe?"
HELLO!!! I even told him that I am feeling harrassed but he just ingnored me.
Harrassment and inability to verify who they are
This is the 6th time that Allied Interstate has called me. At first, the lady was quick to tell me her name, but not quick to tell me where she was calling from. In addition, she was rude to me. I do not know why she was calling, neither would she tell me upon asking. She simply fumbled around with something as she is looking up my phone number! As she pulls it up, she wants to verify my social security number. My first response is that anyone can gather the information from me out of the garbage, and verifying my ssn to them would vfy that could be the correct ssn if they decided to use it for monetary gain since I had not even heard of them until I came upon this website. I knew something was fishy when the guy that answered the phone call, where I had returned a call that was showing up missed, today... the guy said yes, hold on one second, and you hear the rustle of the phone being handed over to the lady. So, my phone rings, again. This time it is a man and he doesn't go about verifying anything except that he started rattling off information to me! Given this, there was no need to verify my ssn, which leads me to think that it could be collected for fraudulent uses. I told the man of the things that I had seen about their company and that I was unwilling to cooperate with them, but that I do not mind working with the old debt, however, I pulled that out of my ass. Thanks to this page, I know that really old debts that were once charged off, and trying to pay them cause more trouble. In addition to that, I just wanted to add how rude he was and how he fit in the conversation that it was being recorded. (I'm glad! is what I say to myself.) Let me inform those of you who are able to read this, now, that trying to repay debt that is over 7 years old brings it back into your credit history. My ex was very extensive in raising his credit score, and he is the reason I know this much. If the collection is over 7 years old and would take several payments to pay off, it's not worth paying because it then becomes more owed money. If it's stale, let it lie. As for the man who kept interrupting me, I told him that calling all day long as many times as they had called, just today, is considered harrassment and that his pursuing the multiple calls would only result in another lawsuit to add to the new list. He remained hostle, so I told him to note that I will not be answering any further calls &/or actions which come from Allied Interstale... I mean, Interstate....
Allied Interstate Scam
Allied Interstate: this is their number (952) 595-2000
I got a call from them many times until August 9, 2007 I was home to pick it up. They say they would like to confirm a loan that I applied at ITT Tech school. I told them that you got the wrong person. So I asked who is calling and all he said was that its from AIG company. I told him you got the wrong person many times and he started yelling which caused me to yell back and I hung up. Within seconds he called back and I told him that your scam is not gonna get a penny out of me, your better off selling drugs on the streets! Just to be safe I contacted my lawyer, and ITT Tech and they said I was never enrolled or apply for a loan. As for my lawyer, he is taking legal action against them if they call again. Also I recommend doing a credit check.

Allied Interstate has many addresses. Find the nearest one to your place and send a C&D letter. Go to this link and get their contact info.
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/about2486.html
Send the letter through certified mail and return receipt requested. They must legally stop all calls after receiving your letter. If they continue, record their phone calls. Check your state laws to confirm if the recording can be done secretly or not. Thus, you will have proof of their violations and sue them.

I am going to send Allied Interstate a bill. I provided them with a service (answered a question for them)(actually several). They want me to pay a bill for somebody I never heard of untill they started calling me. Since I am not providing them with contact information on the person they want (I don't know him) they say I am "guilty" and obligated to pay. They are going to "put me in jail", "take my car" and/or "do whatever it takes to get this money". They have called me well over 150 times in the last 2 years...as many as 15 times in just over an hour! After they threatened me a number of months ago, I told them exactly where I was, where my car was and asked if they had their insurance paid up and a spot picked out. I did not hear from them for almost 5 months after that...now they are calling again! DOES ANYBODY HAVE THEIR ADDRESS?????
Phone calls
I sent off a cease and desist letter for them to stop calling me and I also sent a letter for them to validate. The phone calls have stopped, but they have not validated yet. If they send me a letter asking to pay, I am filing suit against them for not validating and for trying to collect without validating. I have all the proof and signatures that I need from them. These people need to be put out of business.
Allied Interstate
So I've read most of the thread and do know now the nature of this comany.
So here's my situation.
I keep getting phone calls from them on my cell phone every day but never a person. If I pick up the phone it will either hang up or play the automated message stating "we are calling from allied interstate in reference to a debt, any information obtained to be that purpose. Please call 1-888-808-5092 and representative will assist you"
I have not called them back, written a letter of C&D or contacted BBB, FTC or Attorny General's Office.
I do not have any debt ever in my life.
So my question is, is there still a chance for them to ruin my credit?
Would it be better idea to call them back and talk to them even the result is more than likely what everybody in this forum has experienced?
Will it be safe to give out information such as my full name and address? (of course ssn and bank information, i will not give on the phone)
Thanks in advance.

Another AI target
Hello
I've read over the posts in this thread, but I'm not quite sure about my situation. Here's the skinny: I received a phone call today from the number 866-235-0053. When I answered, the person hung up. I dialed the number again and was put in touch with a representative who stated that I had called Allied Interstate. I told her that someone had called me from that number and I would like to know the nature of their business. She asked for my telephone number and name and then said that they are collecting a debt owed to BMG. I told her I was not aware of any debts incurred through that service. She stated that it was a valid recent debt for the amount of $32.04 and that I need to pay this over the telephone right now. I told her that I have no problem paying a debt that I owe, but I would like an invoice or some documentation mailed to me pursuant to their claim. She stated that BMG had sent several mailings to me and that they had sent one notice of collection. I asked for what address they were mailing to, as I had moved recently. She gave my old address and I told her that I haven't lived there for four months, could she please resend the notice of collection and any other documentation to my new address? She stated that they can not do that and that she needs my banking information in order to process payment over the telephone. I told her that I would like documentation first and that I do not give out banking information over the telephone, but that I would be happy to mail a bank check or money order after I receive proof that I owe this to them. She refused and wanted to argue with me. I asked to speak with her supervisor.
I was on hold for a few minutes and a gentleman came on the line and asked how he could help me. I told him what just occurred and and told him that I have no problem paying for a debt that I owe, but that I would first like to receive documentation of this debt along with an invoice to remit payment, if necessary. He immediately became combative and told me that I should be ashamed of myself for taking advantage of creditors who trusted me to do the right thing and how dare I steal. I was shocked and became angry and told him that I do not give my banking information over the telephone; if he wants payment, he will comply with my requests and then the matter will be resolved that way. He absolutely refused and threatened legal action. I told him if he really wants to go through the hassle of suing me for $32, then fine, go on ahead. Or he can do it the easy way and give me an address so that I can send a letter requesting more information since it appears he and his associates are not able to send a copy to me. He made a few more threats but eventually gave me an address that he stated as the payment processing center and can he expect payment by the end of this week. I told him I will put a letter in the mail tomorrow and we'll go from there. He ended the conversation by saying that he will note my account that I am not trustworthy and that I should be pursued diligently if no payment is received by this Friday.
Am I in the wrong here? I've read some of the other posts and understand about sending a debt validation letter via certified mail with a return receipt. Do they have the right to harass me in that fashion, by attacking my character and my morality and insult me because I don't want to give my checking account information over the telephone? It is all right for me to request mailing information to send in another form of payment, is that right?
You have already explained the facts and they are not listening.
You have already explained the facts and they are not listening. Send a letter explaining the situation and mention the cease and desist communication with it. This letter will legally restrict any contacts with you in the future. If they continue, get a legal case against Allied for violating the fdcpa. The court will rule in your favor and the company will compensate for the violations.
You should also start recording their phone calls. Check your state laws if you can do that secretly or you need their permission. They will change their methods after knowing your actions about filing a legal case.
bullcrap
I owe on a medical bill but have made payment arrangements with the hospital on my own. However, Allied Interstate is still calling me literally 4 or 5 times a day, and I have told them several times that arrangements have already been made and they are not necessary. They only tell me that they will keep calling all day every day as often as they like until I pay them personally, not the hospital. They call me "sir" but use nothing but sarcastic and demeaning tones and everytime I try to explain myself to them, they interrupt and ask when "they're getting the money I have to pay". What can I do about this? Anything? What should I tell them to get them to back off?
allied interstate
I keep getting calls from allied interstate asking for someone named Diane. No one lives here by that name. They left me a phone #1-800=791=3266 with someonenamed Josh extension,x2108. he called me back ,and just laughed on the phone and hung up. From Cornell in California
AI and Sprint
I received a settlement letter from AI on 11-30-05 that said I owed $766 and that their client has authorized an offer settlement of 80%>Called the toll free number and refered me to Sprint>After calling Sprint I found out it was a case of identity theft >got a fraud packet from sprint and notified AI on 12-06-05 that I was disputing charges>Sprint denied the fraud because my home phone was called from one of the three phones that was given after opening this account>after the denial I called back Sprint for the paper work done on the account; had to go through 4 associates before getting mgmt; to which they said most of it was destroyed>over the phone the rep did say that the account was paid in cash, I replied easier to cover their tracks, he gave some other helpful info on the thief and then I told him if anyone shows up at their store saying they were me for them to show them to the door and that I will never do business with Sprint again..it seemed that the rep saw the proof as I pointed it out to him....I later found out that the thief was a friend of my girlfriend who thinks it's a victimless crime (the thief thinks this), and that she has done it before and got away with it. She opened the account with just a name and over the phone... Being so close to family I haven't pusued the matter and AI hasn't tried to contact me since the Dispute letter was mailed. I haven't seen anything on my CRyet but they may return on down the road but I will be ready for them when they do...
Allied Interstate INC
Candy, were you able to remove the negative remark from your credit report? I guess you were! This is the problem not only with Allied Interstate but with all collection agencies in the industry. They can go to the extent of hurting anybody's credit file without legitimate purpose. Allied Interstate is the worst of them. They mostly purchase all the disputed and age old debts. In your case, it just happened the same. You were cautious from the beginning and were able to catch their illegal activities. If your future lenders would have seen this negative remark before you, it would have damaged your credit potential the most. I am hoping you were able to remove this item from your credit report. You can take legal actions against Allied Interstate for illegal reporting in your credit file. The FCRA laws will offer you the legal guidance in filing a case against them for each fdcpa violations.
Allied Interstate scam
Allied Interstate sent me a cell bill for a Sprint/Nextel cellphone. There is one problem. I have never owned a Sprint/Nextel phone. Nor have I ever received a bill. THe son of b__ even posted the $23.06 amount on my credit report. They are scamming people to pay them.
This is after I telephoned them and told them that I never had a Sprint/Nextel phone nor received a bill. I flat out told them I wasn't paying it. For my trouble and the fact that they posted the amount on my credit report, I filed a compliant with my state's Attorney General's office and also filed a dispute with a one the credit report agencies.
How dare this company try to ruined my report that I have worked so hard to keep clean.
THe bas__ds.
Allied interstate inc continues its malpractices
Meghan
Latest data in US show that out of all the people being contacted by collection agencies, Allied Interstate makes the maximum number of contacts. Most of these contacts are either for the wrong person or for a disputed debt. Allied Interstate debt collection practices by all means, are illegal. It is very rare they have a debt that is correct in all sense.
If you want to resolve the matter using your legal rights before this company hounds you, I will suggest you to know the purpose of their call. They must validate the debt in writing. Without this information given to you, they can't attempt collections as per the federal laws state.
I assume that the debt for which they are doing collections is age old. You will be able to straighten the matter using your legal powers before Allied Interstate tries to tarnish your credit file.
Allied Interstate
I was just sitting here at the computer and typing my newest book when the phone rang and of course i have the caller ID sitting right here in front of me. The name came up UNAVAILABLE but the number was 1-866-720-1469 when I called the number back they asked if this was "Meghan Beam" of course to get out of talkint to them I said no, and asked if there was a message and they said no just tell her to call the number that you just called. I told them that I would not give her the message if they did not tell me what company was calling and he said "She should know we have called before" I told the guy on the phone that I have no idea and that I needed the name of the company once again this time yelling at him because he yelled at me first. That was when he said "ITS ALLIED INTERSTATE" so that was when i typed the name into my search engine and this post came up so I wanted to leave a message. The guy would not even tell me what city or state he was calling from all i have is the phone number and no name.
Regarding Allied Interstate debt collection
Once you have been contacted by Allied Interstate or any other collection group who is making a pest of themselves, get their fax number, and fax a letter stating you deisre further contact to be via mail since they have abused their calling privileges.
In the event they call thereafter, and they generally do, get in contact with the main account holder and kindly inform them their collection efforts have violated the CFDA and you want the debt expunged off of your record.
Allied Interstate Collections

This approach can be put with a legal effect. Under the federal laws, everyone has the legal rights to refuse contacted by a CA over the phone. A cease and desist letter works the best in this regard. When it is clearly mentioned in the letter that no further correspondence should be done over the phone BUT IN WRITING only, Allied Interstate Inc must abide by the laws. If they further contact, it will result violation of the federal laws and you can sue the CA for each violation.
Allied Interstate Collection Agency- Don't ignore their call
Hi Tamara
I will suggest you not to ignore the call of allied interstate collection agency. You will never believe how fraudulent their actions can be if you sound ignorant to them. Companies like "Allied Interstate" make wrong contacts with the people and even go to the extent of taking the matter to the court. Since you never thought of a reason to talk to them, Allied Interstate Inc will take the advantage and prove in the court that you were ignoring the debt account.
My suggestion is to fight back with this company and get the reason for which they are calling you. Check your credit report also to verify if they have hit your file negatively. If they don't have a legitimate purpose, you have a legal case against them.
Allied interstate Collections called me last night
Thank you David for this information as we just received our first phone call from ALLIED INTERSTATE collections last night on the answering machine from the no. 877-225-1118. Had to play the message 5 times to understand who was calling and after researching on the web found out it was a collection agency. Since neither of us owe anyone money, we do not plan on returning their call. Because of your information, I feel less guilty about ignoring them, since we have only had this phone number for a little over 6 years.
