MCYDSNB listing - How do I take it off my credit report?
MCYDSNB on CREDIT REPORT
Hello,
This thread was incredibly helpful. I called this number: 1-800-627-2909 and immediately got it closed in less than 5 minutes.
Besides not remembering opening the card, the only creepy thing is them having the nerve to ask why on earth I wanted my account closed. I don't even have this card in my possession.
Thanks to whomever posted the number. Very grateful to have this taken care of.
Thanks for the number I will have to try that out.

MCYDSNB
Thanks for the information on MCYDSNB. I am going to call the 866-593-2543 number and get this account removed from our Experian report. Even though it shows a $500. limit and the balance history as 0; I don't like the fact that it shows a date open of 10/91 and nothing was reported until 9/06?
I had a kauffmann's card may be thats the reason Macy showed on

MCYDSNB
We also had these letters, mcycsnb, on our credit report showing it was open in 1981.
I looked it up in this blog and called MACY's. IT was a credit card now but in our case it was a old Famous Barr card. I guess the account even though it had a zero balance kept on going. Macy's apparently bought out a lot of stores over the years along with those credit cards.
We called Macy's at this number 1 866-593-2543 and spoke to a man who looked up my wifes name. It was a account she opened up before we were married. We had it closed, FINALLY!!!!!
Try that number, it might work for you. They can look things up without your SSnumber but they might ask for it.
Good Luck
Lennie

To cnacel, or not to cancel credit cards?
I have 5 major credit cards. They are all in good standing, all but one of which I pay off the entire balance each month (the other I transfered my Mortgage to at a considerable decrease in interest and is presently at 15,000). I had significant debt problems several years ago but finally pulled myself out of trouble. The question is, would it help, hurt, or be a non-factor for my credit rating by cancelling one or two of my major credit cards?
If you cancel the cards, you will immediately impact your FICO s
If you cancel the cards, you will immediately impact your FICO score as it will show your utilization percentage to be much higher. If they are paid off, keep them open. I would only close them if they charge an anual fee and they will not waive the charge.
On Credit Report
If I didn't open an account with your store, why is your MCYDSNB (Macy's) on my credit report
