I want to clean up my report and pay off. but how?

I would like to know where can i start? when i was younger i did a lot of stupid things , and one of them is opening up credit cards whereever i could not knowing the true meaning of credit. I paid them for some time and then i stopped. I want to clean up my report and pay them off now. I do not know where to begin? also i was wondering after everything is dealt with will they still be on my report. and if so what will they say they were paid up..

please help... i will appreciate all.....thank you...

if you can send me a reply to the following email address, i thank you in advance.;

First start by obtaining a copy of your Credit reports from all three Agencies.

Annual Credit Reports will let you know if your state is now covered by the free credit reports as well as take you through the steps to receive your free credit reports.

Second thing you do is to review them looking for errors, unusual entries etc..

Then sign up with this Forum and submit your info to see how they may help you here with debt consolidation.

First, I would recommend a substantial reduction or a complete elimination of your credit card usage. Using cash will be better for you in the long run. However, continuing to spend on credit would make your attempt to reduce your credit similar to trying to catch a moving target. Go into debt consolidation or contact a credit counselor. And work with them to develop a plan to pay off your outstanding debts.
