You need to provide your personal information while filling up the form so that the agencies can verify your identity and immediately deliver the credit report at your doorstep.

Additionally, by entering your personal information on the government website, you will be provided notification and special information about your credit.

I used freecreditreport.com and was pretty happy with it, albeit it's not really FREE. It lets me know when there have been inquiries or changes (negative or positive). I try to view mine about twice a month.
