How 2 remove negative items

Hi I have about 8 items on my credit report that have been paid but are still shoiwing up on my credit report as negative debts how do I get these removed off? Also I have 2 creditors, one is showing both on negative and postive and the other creditor has two of the same thing on the negative side. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Geena

Welcome to the forums. As you said that you have paid your debts, then I find that there is no reason that it appear in your credit report creating negative impact.

I feel that it must be some reporting error by the creditor or the credit bureau who have not updated your accounts. It does happen because the credit bureaus handle so many accounts of the consumers resulting in such clerical errors.

You can get rid of this problem by simply writing a dispute letter to the credit bureau and the creditor for updating your accounts. After your creditors have received your payments in full, they will not mind sending the updated information to the credit bureaus.

Also, if the credit bureaus have wrongly entered the details of your accounts, then they will investigate your dispute and inform you within 30 days. They will send you a free credit report after the changes have been made. Once the information is deleted, they are not supposed to put it back in your credit report again.

Hope that you will take effective steps and proper care of your credit report.

My credit rating was negatively affected by your entry to the that showed a past due status of my account with you. I have since satisfied this debt. Therefore, I request that you submit a statement to that reflects the fact that the debt has been paid in full.
