Try not to deal with them on phone, try mailing them and keep a proof.

collection agencies are not trained to handle phone calls.

Also, their membership has been recently revoked by ACA international from June 1, 2005 for a period of 90 days. So, they can't take any legal action against you.

If they continue harassing you, you can inform them that you have contacted the DA's office. Also, you can file a case against them at the FTC and State general office.
