VOD Letter not answered

I sent a VOD latter to 2 companies via regular post mail. It has been 45 days with no response; the company still has this reported, what do i do next?

additionally another company sent me a letter saying since they had sent me 2 letters and it was more than 30 days old they do not have to validate the debt and i can not disbute it because it was not disbuted within 30 days of getting their first letter.

Where do i go from here?

Hi vlape

Welcome to the forums. Please send your letter through certified mail this time with return receipt requested so that you have a proof of letter sent from your side. Request the companies to validate the debt giving details of your past account

Regarding the company that claims that they have sent 2 letters to you and you have not disputed to it, most probably they will take this case to the court. I suggest you to appear in the court as not appearing will let the collector win a default judgment against you. They need to prove it that they have sent the letter to you where you are required to sign the counter receipt upon receiving it. Failing to produce such evidences will not let them win over you. They are trying to intimidate you so that you start making them payment and they earn their profit.

I will advise you to send a letter to them through certified mail and requesting return receipt for it. In the letter, explain your cause and that you are interested in making your payment. I am sure with this positive approach; they will work out something better.
