Want just 1 bill for everything
Well it seems I got in over my head again with loans and credit cards. I was wondering if I can consolidate my bills into just 1 payment and get some intrest rate cut off (I'm paying over 15% on 7 credit cards and on 1 loan). My debt is $18,050 and pay about 570 a month. I am not behind at all, pay early in fact and most of the time a tad more. My fica is only 640ish (went through bankrupcy in 96, before I was married, and done paying on that 3 years ago) My husbands FICA is about 650-660 I think. What should I do??????? :?

Hi ronwifey
Welcome to the forums. You will be happy to know that your desire about consolidating your credit card debts into one loan amount with lower rate of interest will be fulfilled in the debt consolidation program with this company.
Apart from paying your debts through the debt consolidation program, you can raise your credit score by scanning your credit report for any possible errors. Please do an extensive research of your credit report and see if there are any errors such as:
- Check your credit report to see if it is showing the accurate entries. If an error appears in your credit report such as a late payment which is wrongly posted, it will take 30 days or more to get rectified.
- One of the most important factors to raise the credit score is to make payments on time. Prompt payments really raise the credit worthiness of an individual.
- A reduction in the credit card limit raises the FICO score.
- The most common method to increase your credit score is to make payments in the current billing cycle rather than rotating it in the next billing cycle.
- It is always advised not to close unused credit card accounts when applying for a loan. At the same time it should be kept in mind not to open new accounts since there won't be any proven track record which ultimately lowers the score.
So, I will suggest paying your debt most probably through debt consolidation program as per your needs. And once you have completed your payments, check your credit report to find out any possible errors. Surely, you will be able to see an increase in your credit scores.
