Judgment

If I have perfect credit, but have a judgement filed against me, how will it affect my ability to purchase a home?

Hi Barbie

Welcome to the forums. Your post says that you have perfect credit ability but only thing that is bothering you is a judgment against you. Since you are looking forward to purchase a home, try every bit to make your payments and clear this judgment against you.

After you have completed all the payments, make sure that the holder gives a 'Satisfaction of Judgment' and files it with the court. This will solve all your problems.

Your prime motive at this point should be to try at the best of efforts and pay the holder of the judgment and get a release. Your credit report will look better and you will be in a better situation to acquire credit.

Please let us know how we can assist you further in your debt related problems.

Hi Barbie

Welcome to the forums.

Your perfect credit ability and a judgement filed against you seem to be contradictory. Judgement filed against you has to be nullified. You should immediately consult an attorney for this. In addition you should also try to payoff your debt for which the judgement is filed in the court of law.
Also make sure that the holder gives you in writing a ???satisfaction of judgement' and a copy of which is filed in the court. Otherwise it will affect your credit report as well as your credit scores. The removal of judgement will clear off your liability towards the debt which you currently owe. Further this will help you at the time of purchasing your dream home.

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards
Peter
