The three major credit reporting agencies show that I have a Charge Account with WFNNB/American #3002365025. I have no knowledge of this account. Please advise on how I can cancel this account and remove this from my report.

Welcome to the forums. Please send one letter to the merchant and request to give information about this debt. You can explain your query that you are not aware of this debt. In most cases, they co-operate with the debtors.

If you are sure that this debt does not belong to you, please write a letter to all the three bureaus explaining your problem. You have this provision to attach 50 word statement to your credit report explaining your situation. Though it will not change your credit report, but anyone who asks for your credit report can view it.
