ACB American Inc. rep. harassed my aged mother

The representative of ACB AMERICAN,INC has taken a very bad step and it needs to be dealt legally.

Advanta (credit card) has been harassing MY elderly parents as well, with whom I have not lived for 25 years and who I do not even live near. The way I understand it, they are allowed to call someone other than me ONCE, any more than that is illegal. My mother has filed a complaint with the FTC. Don't know if it will do any good, but it's one step to take.

I just called 1800 FTC HELP(Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection) to complaint about ACB American. I need to write to ACB American to STOP CALLING ME and I need to sent it by registered mail. So that I have a proof. I also have to call Kentucky Trade Commissioner Office 1606 331 2838 to make an official complain where the head office of ACB American. I hope this will help to anyone who are in the same situation as me. I will get a lawer if they don't stop harassing me. Good luck to you all!

You may want to also file a complaint with your state Attorney General.

I don't understand why people bitch when they make the bill. Make it u pay it..... its that simple. I mean I get its your elderly mother but u can at least make 20 dollars a month and they can't deny it.

Austin , you obviously have no idea what its like to be in a financial hardship. Perhaps $20 dollars if not even affordable for this elderly person. FYI , a collection agency can refuse even a $20 payment unless its a medical bill.

an what is the point if you are gonna send them 20, an they charge you 50 in late fees every month??? you will only continue to owe them more an more. an as to what mobile said, hes right there have been times in my home were 20.00 was all i had to make it for the week to eat. 20.00 can buy alot of ramien noodles, bread an some milk. so oviously lucky for you, you have never been in that type of position count yourself lucky

ACB American wont stop calling me. MY name is Chris. I am a MAN not a woman named Ruth that they keep waking me up calling for. My number is on the do not call list. I do not owe anyone money. I have called ACB American 3 times, filed 3 complaints with the FCC and am about to consult an attorney or two. I don't have a Ruth in my family or circle of friends, so I don't know what Courtney who keeps calling there is trying to prove. The next time she calls me, I will post her last name and extension all over the web. ACB better stop NOW!!!!

You need to send them a cease and desist IN WRITING to ACB...calling them will not get the job done.

I called my lawyer the day after and the calls have finally stopped. If they call me again, he will sue them

Unfortuantely, unless letters are sent cease and desisting them, you have no grounds to sue.
