Judgement Againts an S Corp but was placed on personal cred

Hi I hope someone can help me. I have a judgement placed on my personal credit file. I run my own printing business and we had a client that did not get his job on time but he got it. A judgement was placed but we never got notice of the court appearance. Can I remove this judgement of my credit file and how. We have an s corp type of corporation. can I motion to vacate or do I need a lawyer. THe company is no longer in business and its been closed for two years now.

I need help,

Hi Bill

Welcome to the debt consolidation care forum. I read in your post that a judgment was placed but you never got notice of the court appearance. A lot of people have removed these sorts of damaging entries from their credit files. In order to get it removed, there are some steps which can be followed and hence improve your credit file.

  • It is advised to hire an attorney who will be dedicative to help you with your goal of getting the damaged entries removed from your credit file.

  • Please ask your attorney to file a motion of ???Service of Process??? for the purpose of having a damaging judgment entry removed from your credit file. There may be a question of doubt in it from your side but your attorney will argue that the process was served improperly. There have been a lot of cases won favoring this technique.

  • By filing this ???Service of Process???, a creditor will be forced to appear in the court with an attorney to prove that the initial legal process was done properly.

This legal process will work in your favor because if the lender responsible for the judgment was paid, then there is no point for him to show up in the court and waste time and money.

Lastly, the most important part is that if you show up and the creditor does not, you will win your case by default. Then you will have the legal ammunition necessary to have the damaging judgment information removed from your credit file.

Please let us know after you have taken the legal help and got your damaging entries removed from your credit file
