I'm just wondering, is one payment sent to you from me to pay the creditors? Do you garnish check wages?

Your query was not very clear to me. So could you please explain it in details once more? It would be easier for us to answer.

Feel free to come forward with further queries. We are here to help you.:D

Hi Jessica

Welcome to the forums. As far as I can understand from your post, a creditor may or may not garnish your wages as it completely depends upon the laws in your state. The laws laid down by the state define which property should be protected from the creditors and which property can be seized. Some of the states do not allow any wage garnishment. But some states that do regulate it have some limits to it in order to make people to live on something after garnishment.

The federal laws regulate wage garnishment and the states have to follow the federal guidelines. Please check out the laws in your state regarding wage garnishments.

However, please feel free to post your valuable comments in the forums and interact with the community members. You can start enjoying the benefits in the forums after filling one short registration form at the home page of this site.
