Does anyone have an address for Route 66 funding?
thanks a million
Amanda

Well, right now they can call all they want.....my cell phone is off (that is the number I used) because I forgot to drop the payment in the mail (hubby did Friday, but takes a few days). Was more worried about the mortgage payment that didn't even think to ask him if he had mailed it. He had only been carrying it in his truck for a week!

They hit my frozen account again. I just got one of those form emails stating that the payment did not go through and to contact them. Has hell frozen over yet? I guess the calls will start again. I will tell then to email Tweety because of the love they share.

:) I'm certainly counting my blessings....I have not heard 1 thing from them and I defaulted in Jan. I have OVERPAID them by at least a couple of hundred. So, maybe they got the clue? I dont think so but I'm suprised they havent sent me a lovely email or NOTHING since....I was hoping to tell them to shut their pie holes! I'm not complaining, I'm just very suprised I havent heard a peep from route 66......

Yes, Tweety was lacking her diet pop in the afternoon...I was a bit out of it!

They keep calling me at work and I have told them I cannot take personal calls. I have even had my supervisor talk to them and tell them not to call me at work. They don't listen. I told them that if they could give me something in writing I may talk to them, but until them I will not. They say they do not have to give me anything in writing. They are still trying to tell me they are licensed, but cannot give me proof. I told them they are licensed in London, but that does not cover them for the US.

I have paid them $285 on $225 loan. According to Illinois law my loan should be paid in full. My bank is putting stop payment on their debits. The company is B.I.G. Lmtd., which is the same as Route 66. They have called and said they are fraud investigators. The other ladies in the office have said that I am not available and have told them that if I will not talk to them they will just have to come to our place of business. Sure is a long haul from London.

The're baaaaack! My cell rang when I was out to lunch. Some guy said, "this is Wlliam how are you?"
"From?" I asked.
"William" he said.
"From where?"
"Route 66"
"thank you" I said and hung up. My phone rang again so I turned it off. I can't wait for the next moron.
Get your kicks from Route 66. Right Tweety?

I have a loan with them as of October 2006..Finally in January I closed my account and they try to debit it every week (all different amounts). They now say I owe them over $1600 for a $250 dollar loan. I have paid them nearly $650 so far. Now the Investigations dept is calling telling me that I am being invetstigated for fraud and they are going to get my wages garnished. Can they?

Hmmmmm, another bank problem, imagine that! Time to start stuffing our mattresses again, I tell ya. Then where would all them snobby high paid bankers be? (If anyone is a banker out there, sorry not tying to offend)

Ok, don't get me wrong, there are some pretty good banks out there, some where, but I just have not found one yet.

I also just joined a Credit Union. They are so pleasant and personal. I never had a problem with the people at the large red, white and blue logo bank either until this started. They returned the overdraft fees but would not let me close my account unless it remained positive for "a while." The next day the sharks attacked and now I am 1100.00 overdrawn and they finally allowed me to make "deposits only." No more charges but they will not refund the overdraft fees this time. They say they have done more than enough and this was not the banks fault. Bull-oney! They could have stopped it when I asked the first time. Now they are getting the certified letter with copies to the Dept of Finance and Banking and also the Dept. of Consumer Affairs. If you do not pay a bank they put you into Chex Systems and you can't open a new account with another bank. Open your new account first just in case! I will keep on fighting everyone that does not deserve my money! By the way Magnum Cash Advance is a good one to me. Works with you all the way. They even have a real address in the US.
I am waiting for the Route 66 terrorists to call today! They called a couple times Friday at work on my direct line. I could hear the background chatter so I just hung up without saying anything. I will mess with them today. I think I will talk in a fake foreign language. Like Slobovian! Then they will know what its like!

Frogpatch - I have made a list of banks that will stil allow you to open a bank account if you are on chexsystems . . . . And so you know, some banks do chexsystems "sweeps" of their accounts, so even if you open a new account before the old bank reports you, there is still a chance that the new bank will find out and freeze and close your new account.

The list of banks is here

Goudah, That list is going to help a lot of people who were victimized by the PDL thugs and whose banks are unsympathetic. I was fortunate that I was able to open with the credit union because I did nothing fraudulent. Some people are not going to be as fortunate when they can't repay those huge overdrafts. Thanks for helping them.

Your welcome, I'm on chexsystems right now because someone got my account number and went shopping. The bank screwed me royally, even as I did exactly what they told me to do.

It sucks not being able to get a new bank account, having to pay a fee just to cash your check, and having to pay to get a money order every time you pay a bill.

Send a certified letter to their main office. You have to research to get the right persons name. Explain that you were a victim of fraud and were not responsible for what happened and demand that they retract your name from Chex. CC that to your States Dept. of Banking or whatever regulatory agency you have. Banks hate to be investigated. You will get asatisfaction. It is worth it to clear your name. I am in the process of trying to get 1100.00 in overdraft fees reversed because my bank would not close my account until it was in the black "for a while". It was in the black when I tried to close it but it wasn't long enough. They advised me to restore my direct deposit so the thugs could take it. They are insane. I joined a credit union and as God as my witness I will never give my routing info to ANYONE for ANY REASON whatsoever. Even if they say it is their rules it is not my rules.

Frogpatch - I've tried. They actually did credit the OD fees for a while, but then they told me that they couldn't do it anymore, but wouldn't close the account. I've tried everything possible short of hiring a lawyer and suing them, which I cannot afford. The bank pretty much accused me of working with on of their employees to make the OD fees go away. The whole situation was ridiculous. I would continue to dispute it, but I have accounts at two other banks, and I just don't have the time, money, and energy to fight them.

I've moved to a CU too, and I'm very happy with it. When I opened the account I did it over the phone, and when I went into the branch to make my first deposit I walked in and they said "You must be xxx". The lady I'd talked to on the phone to open the account called them to tell them I'd be coming in, and they actually remembered my name!
