Does anyone have an address for Route 66 funding?
thanks a million
Amanda

I finally got through to someone today from Route 66. I first talked to a gentleman who sounded like he was reading from cue cards so I then asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was a jerk from the start. He said I needed to pay the 279 which was the original amount of 200 plus the fee of 79 in full to be paid off. I then told him that all together I have paid a total off 790 thus far. I then asked for copies off my contract or anything else showing the terms off this loan. He laughed! Can you beleive that he laughed, They know they have you between a rock and a hard place. I have called my bank and stopped payment on these deductions. I am afraid now that they will deduct different amounts from my account. Can they do that????? Can someone please help me????

Meet your bank manager and explain that you are afraid of Route 66 Funding because you expect them to be debiting money from your account using different amounts.

Your bank should be able to completely block RT 66 Funding from any debits in your account. Once their payment code is blocked by you bank, you are safe from this company.

Can you get a refund from a payloan company if you have overpaid them

You have the right to claim for a refund. Some companies will do it in comparison to most who will sound tough. You will have to cover your move with the help of your state authorities and a lawyer if the lenders deny giving you the refund on the excessive amount. I am assuming that you have checked with your state laws first.

I have been fighting this company since July 2006 and I did get a loan with this company and I repaid the a**holes and then I noticed months later that money was been debited out of my account still from this company. I have contacted the BBB and the Attorney General of Ga. and know will can stpo this company. I also found out that it is illegal to get payday loans in GA even over the internet. So lets all stick togethet to bring this company down because I have had my bank account since 2000 and never delt with this type of issue with no one. Route 66 will never return your call and if you get a chnce to speak with someone they will give you the run-a-round. No one speaks English clear and the customer service reps are rude.

So, if I have never taken out a loan with these people, I should have nothing to worry about. I notice now that they are calling me everyday trying to get me to take this $200 loan that I don't even want. I don't even know how they got my number at work. Do I have to worry about them going after my accounts anyway even if they have never given me a thing?

Reginole - if you have not provided them any information about your bank accounts, you should be safe.

Absolutely, under no circumstances, ever, should you give this company (or anyone who solicits a you for a loan) your banking, credit card or SSN information. These items are closely tied to your identity and you could be the victim of identity theft or fraud.

Rt. 66 is notorious for contacting people to try and get them to take out a loan. They will call repeatedly - just keep telling them no and hang up - eventually they will stop calling.

I have a question, I want to know if a care dealer can sue you for the downpayment if they did not get a posted check before they gave you the keys to the car or work out payment options.

Hi kkelly and atabbs, welcome to the boards if you would like to register someone will be calling you to discuss your debt issues in the meantime we all will be glad to assist you in any way we can. Atabbs if you wrote the dealership a check for a downpayment and it bounced you need to clear it up and be in communication as this pertains to your respective state returned check statue. Also if it's for over $500 you REALLY need to clear this up. Good luck and keep posting

I did not write them a check,I didn't give them a downpayment. They asked how much I could put down I told them, they never got back to me I then got a call to come in for what the dealer rep told me was a credit interview come to find out I was there to buy a car. Now there was a 2250 rebate that they did not tell me about until after. I told them I could do 1,000.I got financing for this car due to them lying and saying I was putting 3250 down. If I had know about the rebate I would have used that as my downpayment. The nissan dealer let me walk out of the dealership with that car without get any additional money from me. Can they sue me for it.

If a car dealer does not collect the downpayment when you buy a car can they come back later and then try to sue you for it.

I have had exactly the same experiences with Route 66 Funding as well. Stupid me, I felt honor-bound to try to pay them back, and requested information for a Telegram or MoneyGram. They told me there was no way to do that, and asked me to give them someone else's bank information (since mine was closed by the bank due to fees from their attempted withdrawals). The same person I talked to (who had a Jamaican accent) in fact told me that Route 66 Funding was affiliated with a terrorist organization. I don't know if the guy was being a "smarta--" or not, but now that the words have been spoken, that is plenty of cause to turn them over to Homeland Security for investigation.

LOL - now THAT sounds like a fantastic idea!

Seriously, though, DebH - you DIDN'T give them anyone else's banking info, did you?? That's one cardinal rule we've all learned the hard way - NEVER give a Payday Loan company your banking information - especially if you've closed your account to prevent them from debiting it again. Don't give them your new bank account info, or anyone else's.

Sorry I didn't get back to you asap. I get a little lost in this forum due to the fact that I'm a novice when it comes to forums. I keep ending up somewhere else.

Anyway, NO. I did not give them mine or anyone else's banking information. In fact, I've been checking my e-mail and a strange coincidence has occurred. For the last several months I've been getting e-mails from their "investigations" sending me the usual threats. Last week after I found this forum, I responded to their e-mail and told them I was on to them. I challenged them to prove to me that the debt existed by sending a copy (.pdf) of the paperwork I signed. I also asked them to prove that they were licensed to do business in the state of Utah. And lastly, I hope you'll love this. I sent them the link to the forum discussing Route 66. Guess what ... no more e-mails! Stay tuned. I'll let you know if I hear from them anymore.

they now claim that the corporate address is
1005 terminal way
ste 103
reno nevada 89502

they legal dept number is 877-564-7739
they write checks against your account using a corporate name of rovinge international and when you speak to someone in the so called legal dept they refuse to give a parent company name siteing it as confidential information
call your bank and file fraud charges as well as with the police to date they have taken 998 from me against a 200 loan and refuse to stop in spite of my notice to them in writing via email
i am filing charges against them and will see this thru
the attitude displayed by someone who called himself david johnson claiming he was a supervisor there (legal dept) was rude surly and insolent
he went so far as to say and i quote "file with whoever you want"

i called chris wilson who claims he is from the legal department (later said he was in collections)
he had the audacity to say in the middle of the conversation "wait a minute baby"
So i told him that was a clear statement of sexual harassment and a violation of US federal statues
he asked me for a number to reach me so that he could give my file to their lawyers i refused and told him that all further contact be done via email
lets see what they do

I made the same mistake. I am closing my account and they have already harrassed me at work. My bank is working with me to take care of this. I find it interesting that I search for them on the internet and it pulls up all sorts of information on other companies, but no way to contact Route 66. The last time I spoke to them, I asked for information either by postal mail or email and "Andy" said that he would send me an email with their contact information, but I have never recieved anything.

The nubmer he called me on was international 442-084-922780.

If anyone has any other advice, I would love to hear it.

After posting this, I made a call to them from them 877-564-7739. The mailing address is HBS Services Inc 1005 Terminal Way Reno NV 89502. I told them that I closed my account and was sending payment by money order. They said that they take Money Gram (one of the other posts said they didnt - we will see if this is legite) When I make my payment, I will let you all know. I wish there was a way to stop them from doing business in the US.

They were calling me at work several times a day. One time I answered like the receptionist and said that I did not work here anymore and have not heard from them. I filed a complaint with the FTC and the Florida Attorney General. I am sure they will rear there ugly head again. I am planning a law suit against them. I refuse to pay them another dime.

We had a payment reversed on them, so I am sure I will be hearing from them soon. They are constantly sending up payment reminders, via emai, but they cannot respond to emails. They get all mine, which I send almost every day when I get their payment reminders. The called once and told me they were calling in reference to all of my emails but they cannot respond to them. I had told them that I would only correspond with them via email or USPS.

I too had to close by bank account because of the continues drafts Route 66 was making to my account. At the direction of my bank, I opened a new checking account and froze the account that Route 66 was continually drafting. My direct deposit was due in two days and the bank was to roll the depoist to my new account and close out the old account. Sounds easy.

The bank failed to freeze or close the old account and Route 66 snuck through with a draft of $350.00. Since I acted upon the instructions of the bank, they are now telling me this is my problem and I will have to file a formal complaint against Route 66 for them to investigate. The process take 10 business days to resolve. It has not been almost 30 days and I can get no information from the bank.

Has anyone had similiar experiences with your bank.

Our bank is working with us, but that was after we showed them copies of letters to Route66 stating we revoked authorization for them to debit our account. If I were you, I would make sure I talked to the same person I spoke with before that told you they would freeze your account and helped you make the arrangements. Do you have any paperwork from the bank that was filled out when you went in and talked to them? I would keep pressing them.

Just got a call on my cell phone from Route66. I didn't answer because I didn't recongnize the number so it went to voice mail. They told us they were tired of our emails telling them that we have revoked authorization to debit our account. We cannot do that, we have a contract giving them permission to debit the account and cannot revoke it. They are tired to the emails and that we need to contact them by phone because they do not reply to emails. Yes we were told that we were commiting fraud and by having their ACH transaction reversed, we were stealing their money. They expect a call back within 1 hour.

Now you know I am scared....NOT! We have already told them that all communication is to be done via email or USPS. I have taked to them 3 times already and am not listening to their BS again. I just don't think they are very happy with us right now. Oh and yes I have the voice mail saved on my phone.

Another pay period today but now my account is frozen. I am sure they are going to freak. The last time I answered my direct line at work and heard chatter in the background. I said, like a robotic computer voice, "please enter your pass code." I heard 3 beeps. I repeated, "please enter your pass code" 3 more beeps. "good bye" and hung up. My cell rang once immediately following. It can be fun playing with these jerks. Try just putting them on hold. They get crazy.

ROUTE 66 FUNDING NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN. They have harrassed myself, my wife & even my boss. Trying to make him pay a $2000 of a $300 loan. When I called them (877-564-7739) they would not give me their mailing address or what city they were in. I called back and asked for a repesntative for the company using my friends name and a person answered the phone with the same name. Claiming to be that person. Not likely. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. ROUTE 66 FUNDING ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE .

No calls so far today and my husband said that he did not see an email from them before he left for work, but I am sure they will try something tomorrow, which is actually a payday. I think in the last couple of emails I asked them how many times they had to be told something before they got it through their heads and I was getting tired of repeating myself.

I will say that it has been nice to have a little extra money without all the pdls debiting the account. As soon as we can get everything cleared and all regular debits, insurances, etc and get the account to a zero balance, that account will be closed, but we will open a savings account at our current bank.

Starting to. Still working on the house thing. We just sent out another payment, so that puts us owing (now) 1 behind payment and the payment for March. Our next payday we have to make the car payment and pay the utilities, etc and since we have 3 paydays this month, that will be another payment, but the first is coming along and that will still put us 1 payment behind. It seems I am just having trouble with that extra payment. Hopefully with the little extra money, we can pull it off within the next couple of months and hopefully it won't go into foreclosure. For some reason they say we don't qualify for the "repayment" program where they take and divide the past due payment into 6 months and tack it onto the regular payments. I am praying really hard that something will happen and we can get it taken care of. We figured out that once we can get caught up on that, we should be able to at least meet all our bills and maybe start paying on some of the others. But it is better than it was.

Just has a smile brought to my face. I know this is off topic, but my son is so excited that he got his Visa check card in the mail! We opened him a savings account and a checking account, but no checks! He called me and was singing "I got my card! I am so cool!" It was funny. About as funny as listening to him telling everyone that he was wearing a "Zoot Suit" to prom, with the hat, long chain on the side of the pants and the black and white shoes.

Just wanted to share my smile!!

They say we "make too much money" (gross now) and that with our so called income, we should be able to get caught up. What they offer is for "hardships". When I was out for surgery, they didn't offer any hardship help and when I went back to work and had some income coming in again, and tried to talk to them about trying to get caught up on everything and if they could help us, we were not "classified as a hardship" since I was back to work earning a regular income. I would love to refinance, but our credit prevents us from doing it. I even asked them if they could defer one payment to the end of the loan and let us set up automatic payments to them, where they get 1/2 of the payment every payday and the months that there are 3 paydays, we would end up ahead of the game, but can't do that until we are all caught up and they cannot "defer that payment".

Is posting a lot good or bad??? LOL Just trying to be encouraging and sharing my experiences where I can.
