Paid in full letters from pdl's
Should I do this in writing? or should I contact them via phone? I'm leaning towards the 'in writing' side.
What do you all nice people think?
Thanks all for your input.

You must have everything in writing from the payday loan companies. These written documents can only stand as proof and cover your back if any dispute arises at the later period. In some cases, the file is sent to the collection agencies. They start contacting the people and collect debt without having complete information from the lending companies. You need to have proof in writing that the account has been paid in full and oppose their claim strongly

That's what I thought. I think I worded the question the wrong way. I definitely know I want to have the letter that states the paid in full, so I share the opinion that my request for this letter must also be in writing to them.
Thank you for the quick reply "andyyoung".
Boy, will I be glad when I get out from under this rock.
Have a great day!
Paid in ful letter
getting one of these can be tough, What I have done in the past is send a first letter asking them to confirm in writing that your account is paid. Be sure and give them a deadline of 2 to four weeks. Send the letter ceritified return receipt. If they fail to respond you send a second letter that documents very simply the data of final payment, the total amount paid and states that based on their failure to respond to your previous letter you are considering their failure to respond as confirmation of your paid in full status. Send that one certified as well.

Now I just have to get the address and the other information back from my debt solutions co that I'm dealing with. I didn't have ALL of the info when I started with them so they filled in the blanks since they deal with these guys all the time.

Yeah, I know. I'm just having a difficult time getting the addresses and phone #'s from the debt solution place that I'm working with. They can be VERY slow at responding to things at times.

Who are you working with and what addresses, etc. do you need? I have a couple that have been "paid in full" and I have letters from them and one that I just finished paying off that we are waiting on a letter from. Let me know if I can help you with addresses, phone numbers, etc.

Thank you all very much!!! I appreciate your assistance. I'll be sending off some letters next week for verification of paid in full (and stipulate in the letters that "no response to this request will be considered as agreement that the loan is paid in full". I know I'll probably word it another way(a better way).
Thanks again!
