Some consolidation co says they did not receive my payments

I've made several phone calls to the agent I was working with in regards to my debt consolidation and have yet to hear back from her. One of my accounts keeps telling me that they have yet to receive a payment from me when the amount due was already taken out of my checking account last month? What's the deal? Is this a scam? Am I out $300?? I'm at a loss for words and really skeptical right now, especially since they keep calling and telling me they have yet to receive payments. Someone PLEASE get back to me on this. Thanks.

How long has it been since you last contacted your agent?

Well, my advice to you would be to keep good records and settle this discrepancy before you continue with the program. First you have to go to your bank in order to get a statement. Find out which company withdrew money from your account. Actually see if the name of that company corresponds with this company. because maybe that money could have been withdrawn by another company. So your first step should be verification.

Then after you verify that you paid the $300 dollars to the right company, present this bank record to your agent in order to show her that you actually indeed paid the money. After you produce legitimate records, I am sure that you will be able to resolve this error quickly.

Welcome to the forums. Please feel comforted that you have paid from your side. Now, you must be having some record of this transaction if you paid by check or some other evidence of this payment made like receipt if you have done money order. You can show that to the agent and clear the communication gap.

If you have not committed any error in writing the name of the company in your check, please check the receipt or the banking transaction if they have posted the required name correctly.
