Allied Data Corp... need advice


does anyone know anything about this company. they have called like 5 tiems the past week. I have gotten no letter from them, though I know I owe AVON. I would like to call avon and pay them. I am fearing that if I pay, I will still get calls later saying I still owe. I live in MO in the CST does anyone know the calling times as well. They call at 10 PM????? I know that is way late...

Allied Data is a collection agency. They have been repeatedly heard about violating the federal laws. Don't allow them call your house repeatedly. You can put a legal fight against them on charges of federal violations. Calling as 10 PM in your time zone is certainly a violation of the FDCPA.

See the latest copy of your credit report and find if Allied Data has reported in your file legitimately. If they have put an accurate remark, the debt must be validated to you in writing so that you can work out arrangements.

It will also sound good if you can work out arrangements directly with Avon. They must have hired this agency for collections. Explain your problems while dealing with this CA. After understanding the situation, they might pull back the account.
