good experience

Hi,

I want to thank everyone here for their advice, help and kind words. I signed on with T & C last week. I froze my account to debits and contacted all 5 of my payday loans. None of them were in default, so I thought I might have a hard time dealing with the companies, but...they have all accepted T & C proposals. I can't believe I will get my paycheck and not have debits from those companies! I am so excited to pay my bills and not juggle payday loans! I am going to stay on this forum because for the first time in 2 years I did not feel like a complete failure and screw up. To know that other people are in my situation and that I can take control and get my finances back on track has let me sleep at night (at last). Thanks a million.

YAY Jeanne! You did the smart thing and contacted the companies ahead of time. I think that makes a huge difference in the way you are treated.

It's all about taking control.

We're glad you're going to stick around too! For being a community of people just trying to pay their bills, we have a good time.

If you have time, join us in chat one night..We're usually in around 7:30-8:00 p.m. Eastern time. It's good fun.

Jeannebean---It is a good feeling isn't it? I never thought that I would be able to feel so darned good about paying MY bills instead of doing the PDL juggling act. I am just about as far along as you are in the consolidation process with T&C. Keep us posted here and I will do the same.

Congratulations for putting everything in place. You have covered most of the way in solving your payday loan problems. Now you will just have to stick to the plan and make the payments. After all the accounts are paid off, you will become debt free. I can imagine it for you for a while :)

Hi Jeanne -

It's great to see that you are on the path to getting out of debt!! Congratulations on taking control of things. Keep us posted on your progress with T&C. And please do stick around, the best thing you can do after straightening out your own debt is to post here and help others who are in the same shoes that you were!!

Hi all~

Things are going great with T & C. I got paid today, so I logged onto my bank account and there was...MY ENTIRE PAYCHECK!!!!! For the first time in almost 2 years!!!

At any rate, I wanted to let everyone know how things have been working out with me. I did not close my back account, I couldn't due to outstanding checks and direct deposit issues. I did block the payday loan companies ID#'s from debitting from my account.

T & C was able to negotiate agreements with ALL of my pay day loans in one weeks time. So ~ some advice for anyone reading ~ I consolidated BEFORE my loans were in default, and all of the companies were very agreeable to working with me.

Also, after I saw my whole paycheck, I paid my bills that are due this month! No juggling loans and I am paid up for May!!!

Believe it or not, Directv, Verizon Wireless, and our auto insurance all sent a letter thanking us for our 1st ontime payment in several months once we got hubbys whole paycheck back. Now all our bills are paid on time and I actually have to call some of them to find out how much the bill is. Is that crazy or what?
