What items should I insist are in a letter sent to me outlining a 1 time payment of a 1275 debt for 800?
Example - should I insist that the original creditor sign off, should I insist that the letter state that the credit collector and the original creditor will not report the debt to any credit agency after the 1 time reduced payment is made, etc.?

Hi
Welcome to forums. I read your query and understand that you are udergoing a problem.

Since you are to pay off $800 in full and final settlement of your accounts, hence you should always insist for a perfect pay rating. What you should do is simply ask the creditor or the collection agency to list your credit rating after the settlement as ???Paid as Agreed??? or ???Account Closed-Paid as Agreed???. This will ensure an unaffected credit report.
Please feel free to come in the community with your queries.

Peter
