We are in receipt of your recent email alleging that we have violated Texas law. As you are aware, we disclose numerous times on our website, through our application process and in each of our loan agreements, that our relationship is governed by Utah law.

We have no facility, offices or employees in the state of Texas, thus we have no ???presence??? in Texas and do not fall under their jurisdiction for licensing.

At all times during operation, Quik Payday has been licensed, governed by and compliant with the laws of the state of Utah. You, as a consumer, consented to the fact that our contractual relationship would be governed by Utah law. Furthermore, you were informed that if you did not want our transaction to be governed by Utah law that you should seek a loan elsewhere.

Obviously, you have become accustomed to our high level of customer satisfaction and it is our desire to resolve this matter as quickly and amicably as possible. We have removed your balance owing from our system and Quik Payday has made no negative credit reports to any of the three major credit bureaus.

Congrats...that's fabulous. I've already sent 16 emails in the last week to United Cash Loans...still waiting a response...Hope it turns out like yours...

Congrats....got the same one. I am thinking they know how badly they screwed up and this is the cheapest way for them to handle it, otherwise they would have lawsuits all over the country....I know I was an idiot for using this route, but they were really stupid to continue business like they were doing...Good job!!

I also sent several emails- but never had a response. This morning I sent faxes to all but 2 lenders, and I received this response from Quick Payday within 2 hours.

I know I am guilty of racking up the debt- but with all the fees I have paid, I have more than satisfied my obligation to these people. I'm just so glad I found this board to show me that I do not have to continue being taken advantage of!

As much as I hate to say this.. at least Quickpayday is being professional about all this.. by the way i haev proof that a netbased payday loan co called Cash Central is quickpayday.. good news is they actually are getting licenses and only loan where licensed (for now)

You know Tammy, I doubt it. When I spoke with the investigator a couple weeks ago here in Florida. He said these guys got millions and don't blink an eye at paying off lawsuits. They eventually open up a new business somewhere else and start all over.
We've got our work cut out for us. These guys won't go away easily.

That is a good point.

I think quikpayday has in a way i mean they were licensed and have a clean record in Utah, and once they got nailed in Colorado they reformed as Cash Central and started gettign licenses... However, I think by nature payday lending will never be a truly "nice" business, the nature of high risk lending is such that they have to be tough in collection, adn whenever you have to be tough in colelction you will eventually get people who get off on being @&#(#@'s to people... as long as they are legal they will be here to stay.. but hey even if we can't get ride of them, if we keep it up we can at least make them play by the rules, be civil and at least business like about it...just my thoughts
