old credit card debt

Is there a statute of limitation to collect an old credit xard debt
it is 9 yrs old the original lender sold the acct. they are trying to collect. i am now on ss disability receivibg 663 a month

Welcome to debt consolidation care forums. You have not mentioned the name of your resident state. Please check out the SOL of your state. If it is less than 9 years then your debt is irrecoverable in the sense that the collection agency cannot do much to collect the debt unless and until you decide to pay off the debt. Another point is that since you are now on ss disability, you have a strong point to protect your interest. Hope this will help you a lot.
