Collection agencies viewing my credit report.

I'm looking at my recent inquiries, and one of the collectors on my report is listed on my inquiries..

Doesn't this hurt me???? Can I get this removed? Because I did not authorize a collector to view my report.

Jessi,

Inquiries run by potential creditors with your consent hurt your score. Promotional credit checks, inquiries by your employer, your land lord or by your existing creditors do not lower your score.

Generally collection agencies pull your credit report to estimate your ability to pay the debt. It is very frustrating to see someone else viewing my report without my knowledge. Moreover they can see my personal information easily.

You can get it removed from your credit report. You have to write to the collection agency for this purpose. I would also suggest you to go through the threads below, it will help you a lot-
