Collection Agency getting my new number
Hi,i avoided an agency for a payday loan 2 years ago changing my number.recently i applied for and got 2 credit cards and a loan and put new number down on applications.A week after i received loan funded,i had a message left by a different agency,they evidently bought it from the previous.I suspect they got my number somehow from the 3 applications.I changed my prepaid cell number once again.Should i not give new number if i apply again.was recommended if i do apply for credit to get a temporary prepaid sim in case they call and throw it away once what i applied for is approved
that's nice,but
they still need a verifiable ss# so they can use that to search for any other info.posts all over about people changing numbers only to be called by bottomfeeders.the only real solutions are to apply on secure sites like BOA'S site,or not to apply at all.

i agree as you must give a verifiable number when applying for loans,or other credit so refrain.

What is the name of the collection agency? Who is the lender? I would suggest to avoid applying for credit for the time being.
