Should I pay property tax after filing bankruptcy?

I have surrendered my home in bankruptcy. But I'm still getting calls from the municipality for the property taxes. I have told them that I have surrendered it. Still they are threatening to damage it. What to do?

You have to pay the property tax because you're still the owner of your home. You'll remain the owner of the home until it's sold in the auction. The municipality can tear down the property if the condition of your home is not good. You can rent it out if required.

Hey, you don't have any option, you must pay the property taxes as soon as possible. You can ask your friends or relatives to help you out of this situation. As Nick suggested, renting out your home can also help you to handle this crisis.

Bankruptcy is a complicated subject. As per my knowledge, you have to pay the property until the auction is completed. However, talk to a bankruptcy attorney to get the best advice.
