Should I agree to the offer if a credit card company is ready to settle the offer at 80%? That is, I have to pay 20% less the debt amount.


How much you owe to them? How long are you past due? 80% is not a good deal at all. You should try for at least 60%, if the debt amount is big it will save a lot.

Get a grip man.. 80%?? Are you kidding???
Start your negotiation from 40%... probably then it will end up somewhere around 55-60%....
