What will be the next step if one of the creditors doesn't atend the 341 meeting?
Is it chapter 7 or chapter 13
Is it chapter 7 or chapter 13 bankruptcy 341 hearing?
In most chapter 7 cases creditors will not attend the hearing, as those are no-asset cases. Additionally, cost of hiring attorney and transportation is much greater than the probable benefit.
The debtors can still file an objection to confirm the Chapter 7 plan without attending the hearing.
It's common that a creditor may not show up in your 341 hearing. But if you do any fraud or incur debts shortly before filing bankruptcy, creditors can still object to your discharge or your Chapter 13 plan even if they can't attend the 341 meeting of creditors.
