Paying possible fraud payment

I found preferred law n after A very long time my home is good with bank payments. But perverted law still charges me a monthly fee every month I thought maybe scam then read more n more on them. My question today is should I stop paying the monthly to them. Specially when my bank told me after I was told I could talk to my bank. That my hardship could of been handled by the bank n me
