Will it be ok if I tell a collection agency that I am taking professional help?

I have a question about a collection agency. When do they start calling for payments? Can they call after I miss one payment? Can I tell them that I am taking professional help? Or, it will reduce my chances of getting a good deal in settlement. How can consolidation help in this matter?

Hello Brunio!

Usually, after 31 days a debt goes to a collection agency.

Experts say, even after your debts are handed over to the collection agency, you can consolidate your debts.

You may call in this number 800-DEBT-913 for your further queries.

Hi Brunio! I agree with Mabelle Page. Whenever you opt for professional help, the financial experts of the debt relief company will deal with your creditors. You won't receive collection calls any more. Besides, they will assess your financial situation along with your debt amounts. Based on that, they will propose you the best repayment plan; be it settlement or consolidation. So, make sure to approach a genuine debt relief company and all your debt related problems will be taken care of.
