Is there any chance to get a loan when unemployed?
I do contractual work. My contract ended in March 2020. I couldn’t take up any fresh assignment after that. My wife has also lost her job. She is working as a freelancer. We are managing somehow. In the meantime, our home needs some major renovation. I don’t have money for that. Will someone give me a loan even though I don’t have a job?

How much money do you need? Honestly speaking, it is tough to get a loan without a job, especially during this time. You may get some money under the HEALS Act. I think you can get upto $1200. But nothing is official yet. You can ask your friends to give you a personal loan. Or, your wife can try for a loan since she is working as a freelancer.
