Should I use my credit card to cover wedding expenses and buy Christmas gifts?


Okay. I don't know if it's the right place to ask my question. But I really need some suggestions. So, I'm asking my question anyway. I will get married in this December. Needless to say, I will have lots of expenses. Plus, Christmas and New Year celebrations are also there. I have to buy Christmas gifts for my family. I have a credit card with high limit, which I haven't used yet. Should I use that card to cover all the expenses? Should I take out a personal loan? I have saved $5000. Is it enough to cover everything?


Okay. i don't think it's a wise idea to use credit card to cover all your expenses. This year, have a budget-friendly X-mas since you'll get married in December. You can give DIY gifts this year if you have some spare time. if you're busy with wedding preparations, then give small gifts. Never get into debt for Christmas and wedding. You can have a wedding with $5000. That's possible. But you have to do serious adjustments.

Try to make a budget of all the expenses and see how much extra you need. If you have a good income and you are sure you can repay the credit card bills in full within the time, then use a credit card. Otherwise, go for a personal loan from friends or family or from a bank with low interest,
