Received summons by Michael J Scott
I received a summons on 07-03-13. Iam sending them a debt valdiation letter today. I will file an answer on my own behalf. But I wanted to know what else I can do to prepare myself to defend the lawsuit. I've read the many blogs about this firm and it seems if your educated they tend to back off or go away entirely. Can anyone out there help me with this??

Sending debt validation at this point is worthless...you will have to wait until the discovery portion of the trial. Right now you have to answer the summons with any defenses you have..the debt is not mine, the amount is incorrect, any dispute you might have. Look up the rules for civil procedure for your state.
