I filed bankruptcy 6 yrs ago and at the advise of the attorney i sent an affirmation letter to my mortgage(which was not listed in the bankruptcy) Unknown to me they never received it and for the past 6 yrs i have not had any of my mortgage payments reported to credit bureau. Trying to refinance and my credit sucks because of this. Is there anything I can do at this point?
Try explaining to the company
Try explaining to the company that you are trying to refi with the situation - ask them if a letter of you payments from the company that you have been making payments to would help. This may counter the bad mark to some degree..
