collector coming to your home

Can a debt collector or payday loan/credit line rep come to your home for payment if it is not a car, furniture, etc. and what is the statue under the federal fair debt collection practices

thats ridicoulous -- that they came to your house -- I've only had servers come once it got that far --

there are alot of instances where a storfront lender close to the person has come to their door, and not to sue.do not post blanket statements that are not true.

I agree with what Soaplady has said.

See, in most cases, debt collectors call you regarding payments. They also send letters in order to notify you about the unpaid debts. Debt collectors hardly make home visits.

A first party creditor is not covered under the FDCPA...that is for debt collectors only. In some cases the creditor might make a home visit...highly unlikely for a collector. There is nothing illegal about it.
