TRS debt collector

Got a call from them today and they are incredibly rude, in fact the bill collector hung up on me. It concerned a debt from 2009, that has more than tripled in size due to penalties and late fees, he became rude when I wouldn't answer personal questions concerning my living arrangement and how I pay for a cell phone and food, etc.
Was he talking about a payday loan? If so, what state are you in
Was he talking about a payday loan? If so, what state are you in, the name of the lender, how much borrowed, how much paid back so far?
