I have 3 cc with small balances on them. First Premier around 700.00, Orchard Bank 300.00 and Credit One 300.00. I can't continue to make the payments. I know they are small but the interest and the fees they charge each month are terrible. I should have know better.
Should I just let them go and wait for the collection agencies or contact them an ask for a hardship? If I only make the minimum payments I'll never get these things paid off.

I would not consolidate those. I would do a 1-2-3 strategy of paying them off since the balances are so low. Start with the credit one and pay as much as you can to it, i.e. over the minimum. Let the others fester while you pay off Credit one. Then move to the other 300 balance card and do the same. By the time you can get to the 700 balance one it will have been over 90 days and some kind of settlement would be available.

I was wrong about the amounts. The credit one is actually 600.00 and the others are correct. I contacted Credit One and asked for a hardship plan but they said they did not offer that. They were very rude and told me to borrow the money from someone. I bet they called me 5 times after that. I told them I could send them a payment on the 15th. I'm just now getting things on the straight with PDL's and now I got this to deal with. The PDL's wont hurt my credit but the cc's will. I guess I could call Orchard and First Premier and see what they can offer as far as a hardship plan.
