Is the Mass Street group a legal lender in the state of Illinois?

I am the CEO of Fanelli & Associates. Although we are a collection agency, we are in no way affiliated with Mass Street Group. I do not know how we were linked to them, but I have begun getting tons of complaints and people calling in with debts to us. We do not own, nor do we collect on, any Mass Street Group debt. We do not wish to collect on anything we do not rightfully own. Anybody who tells you to pay us your debt is scamming you. We would be happy to tell anybody who wants to speak to my office about how we are not attempting to scam anybody, and that we only collect on legitimate debt from legitimate lending companies.
